May Canton

Another Canton weekend has come and gone. Boy, was it busy!! Loved it!! Well, maybe not the tornado weather we had Saturday night. Spent more than an hour in the men's bathroom (closest concrete building) with about 80 other people and pets until the threat passed. It was a bit scary - but no tornado. We had some heavy rains during the night, but Sunday turned out to be a great day!

Loved seeing everyone. Met lots of new friends. Sold a few things, found some new treasures. Getting ready for next month!!

My little girl had her gall bladder taken out today. She's been in the hospital since early last Thursday when she went to the ER. They couldn't do surgery until today because of an inflamed pancreas. Surgery went well, but they are keeping her overnite so they can do an MRI in the morning. She's not a happy camper! She hasn't been allowed to eat solid foods during her entire hospital stay. She will pay good money to anyone who will sneak her a Keller's #5 burger!! And no, that isn't a recent photo of her..... But she's still just as cute!! If I posted a current picture, it would give away my age!!

Texas Rose Show

FINALLY! I'm posting some pictures from the big antique show at Round Top/Warrenton. I was set up at the Texas Rose Show in Round Top -- right across the street from Marburger. First time I've done this particular show and it was great!! Since I only decided to do the show about 3 weeks before it started, I was only able to get a small booth. Next show -- BIG booth!!

Here's a few pictures of my booth -- before I sold stuff and had to re-do it.... And before the camera battery ran down.... (note to self -- don't forget charger next time)

We had some magazine shoots at our show. Romantic Country was there and they took pictures of my booth. I was kinda excited as my booth was the only one in the big tent that was photographed. I had to get a picture of them taking pictures.....


And then this is what you get when you 'pimp out Chad'. Chad is one of the dealers in my field. Business was a little slow one day and needed a boost, so I convinced Chad to stand on the main street and draw in some customers. It worked!!! It ended up being a very busy day!! And don't you just love his cute little dog Trixie!
