The Antique Elegance Show is February 16-17. Over 60 antique dealers from all over the country and Europe showcase unique and fine quality items, specializing in the Victorian era through the 1940s. It's held at the Richardson Civic Center, 411 W. Arapaho Road in Richardson, Texas (exit #25 Hwy 75/Central Expressway).

The first Canton of the new year is officially over. If you came Thursday or Friday then you probably froze! If you waited until the weekend to enjoy the warmer weather then I hope you had something heavy to hang on to -- it was WINDY!! We couldn't even open our doors for fear everything would blow away!

In case you didn't make it by to see us, here are a few pictures from The Veranda for you to enjoy.

Pretty 'Paris apartment' sofa with cane inserts on the arms easily mixes with the rusty garden cart being used as a coffee table.

Lots of chandeliers and lamps dripping in crystals add to the frenchy look.

The vintage typewriter was a big attraction for all the young kids. Guess they had never seen one before.

This pair of comfy arm chairs would look great in a man's den.

Canton in December

It's Christmas at The Veranda! It might not be snowing, but we decorated like it was a winter wonderland. White trees, pale blues, lots of gold and silver! Hope you can make it out to see us this time. Enjoy the pictures!

Love the iron bed all dressed in white linens! The gold mirror at the back reflects the little chandelier hanging overhead. Snuggle in and dream of a white Christmas

What do you get when you mix a big lampshade, a few glittery ornaments, & some ribbon?

A BELL!

A great wrought iron patio set with cushions in the best blue ever! There is a couch and a pair of matching chairs.

A fantastic lamp just dripping with crystal prisms next to a group of old clocks. The big black one is an old time clock. The little pink one and the square green one sold right after this picture was taken.

Snowy white concrete swan that would look great in your garden. Looks good here filled with vintage Christmas tree branches and gold glass beads.

Vintage baby doll nestled in a stack of frames! Great idea!

Pale blue and cream brocade couch. Love the 'sold' tag!

These charm necklaces make great gifts! And they are all double-sided -- like getting two for one!

This vintage 'glamour' shot looks great displayed by the candelabra. There's a bowl of mercury glass ornaments ready to hang on the tree.

Holiday Sale Pictures

Here are a few pictures from our Holiday Bazaar we had this past weekend. We had antique and vintage items as well as some new merchandise for sale. It was lots of fun! Unfortunately, Lillie was sick and couldn't make it, so I can't show you the great necklaces and charms she has been making. She will have them at Canton!!

Isn't this a pretty tabletop tree with a little tea set worked right into the branches! This whimsical tree with the vintage Snoopy lights sold.






Put a little 'junk in your trunk' with these decoupaged suitcases! Don't you just love the cute sign my niece made! Most of these are sold, but custom orders are being taken.

We all had to model (and buy!) this great jewelry. Everyone needs a little BLING now and then! And I'm often distracted by shiny objects....

Speaking of shiny objects, check out the wonderful silverplate serving and accessory pieces just in time for the upcoming holidays.






Arbonne was there to make us look and smell beautiful.

The vintage wedding cake toppers were very popular. Almost all of them sold! They are perfect in a winter wonderland Christmas display!

Holiday Bazaar

Hope you can make it to the Holiday Bazaar this weekend. Enjoy some wine and snacks while you stock up on some great gifts! This is a small house sale, but loaded with holiday gift ideas. Last year was lots of fun!

For those of you who have one of those 'nasty' daytime jobs like we do -- Friday is late-nite shopping until 9pm!!

Pacesetter Holiday Bazaar

You are invited to the 28th Annual Pearce Pacesetter Holiday Bazaar on November 10th and 11th! This is our first time to participate in this show. Over 120 vendors will showcase jewelry, quilts, home accessories, Christmas gifts, yard decorations and much, much more. All are welcome and admission is FREE! Hours are Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. & Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
