Canton in November

It's Canton weekend and the weather is simply gorgeous! The sun is shining and you have to start and end the day with a sweater! Fall is here!! We have decorated for the upcoming holidays. Hope you make it out to see us! For those of you that might not be able to stop by, here are some pictures of our booth this month. Hope you enjoy them!

By the way -- this Saturday nite is Prom Night on the Porch at Canton. You are all invited! Wear your vintage prom dress or tux or ANYTHING YOU WANT and come to the party! The festivities start after shopping and will last into the nite. The party is held between The Porch and The Veranda -- Roads 43 & 43A by the creek.

The Market in the Meadow Holiday Show was lots of fun! The place was packed with shoppers! We plan on going back again next year. But right now we have to get ready for Canton, J.J.Pearce Pacesetters Bazaar, the Holiday Showcase, and then it's time for Canton again! Vintage prom dresses make a nice backdrop -- until you sell some! Then you can see right thru to the next booth....

Isn't this the cutest little vintage tulle tree ever!


This fabulous tree has hundreds of ornaments! It took about 8 hours to tie them all on. The branches are loaded!

Weekend Holiday Show

Don't forget to come by the Market in the Meadow Holiday Gift Show this weekend. We will have lots of vintage Christmas items, cute gift items, and cottage chic antiques. We will be set up in the gym. Remember, the booths aren't that large - so we won't have that big dining room table & chairs you need for your Thanksgiving dinner. Come see us at Canton for that!!

Holiday Gift Show

The 24th Annual Market in the Meadow Holiday Gift Sale is this month. Over 180 booths with unique gifts and specialty merchandise from a variety of vendors. All proceeds from Market in the Meadow benefit the Forest Meadow Jr. High PTA. Forest Meadow Jr. High is located in Lake Highlands and is part of the Richardson Independent School District. Join us for a fabulous shopping experience this fall!

Canton Follow-up

Thanks to everyone who came by The Veranda this past Canton weekend. I had to work on Friday and missed meeting Margo (aka Robolady)who was shopping with Sue Whitney from JunkMarket. Can't wait until the book comes out to see what Sue is doing with those little letter and number teaching aids she bought from us. Thanks again for stopping by and thanks for bringing Sue with you!

Canton Halloween

Since this is the Canton before Halloween, we are bringing in a little bit of 'eerie elegance' to our booth this month. Be sure to stop by to see us. The Veranda is located at Roads 43 & 43A by the creek. We are right across from The Porch.

By the way, Ki and Sue from Junk Market will be at Canton this weekend in the Civic Center. Hope they stop by to see us!!

Antique Elegance

This weekend is the 27th semi-annual Antique Elegance show (formerly the Victorian Elegance show). If you want to see some absolutely beautiful items, be sure to stop by this show. The dealers have wonderful merchandise that is from the Victorian era thru the 1940's.

The show is Saturday and Sunday from 10am-5pm. It's at the Richardson Civic Center - 411 West Arapaho at exit 25 off Central Expressway (Highway 75). Check out the website -- http://www.victorianshow.com/ -- for more information.
